Wired phone systems in offices are great, if you live in the 2000s where being chained to your desk for fear of missing that important phone call is the norm. The recent shift and increasing number of people working remotely means people are turning to software like Microsoft Teams to run their phones.
With it being such a widely popular program why not utilise what you already have?
Microsoft Teams is a great tool for calls. On a very basic level Teams can be downloaded on any device. This includes phones, laptops, tablets and desktop computers. As well as normal functions like video calling, messaging and sharing, you can also make voice calls too. This means that no matter where you are, you can still take even those most important calls.
You can still have calls come into the office and be redirected by the receptionist, to your phone or device, but it gives you more of a hands free option as Lee explains here:
With both VoiP and PSTN options, there is something for every kind of need.
What is PSTN? – (Public Switched Telephone Network) is a combination of networks that are used worldwide. This can include switchboard systems, cellular networks and many more. In simple terms it’s a ‘normal’ way on having a phone.
What is VoiP? – (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a way of calling using broadband (internet) instead of a usual phone line.
