Chrome Shortcuts for an easy life!

The internet is a wonderful place isn’t it. You can google just about anything, like how to make a good mac’n’cheese, how to decorate a bathroom and where the nearest pub is. But all of that wouldn’t be possible without a browser. There are so many of them out there, but it’s fair to say, one of the most popular is Chrome.

Chrome has a simple layout and easy to use features as well as some extensions for certain programs, like Grammarly and 1Password. But did you know there are also some shortcuts for those little, annoying browsing problems?

What shortcuts are there on Chrome?

Incognito Mode

This one is especially great if you are using a shared computer and you don’t want your partner to see your last minute Christmas shopping. Incognito mode essentially prevents data and history from collecting on the device so that you don’t have to manually clear it yourself.  To start a browsing session in incognito mode simply press CTRL+SHIFT+N

Accidentally closing a tab

We’ve all been there. Especially when it’s a tab opened from research rather than a known website that it would be easy to find again. Never fear though, Chrome has your back. Simply press CTRL+SHIFT+T. This will reopen the last tab you have closed. If you keep pressing it, it will bring back the tabs in order of you closing them.

Disappearing Downloads

Ever had a download not appear at the bottom of the screen? You can easily find anything that has been lost by pressing CTRL+J . This will bring up the downloads window and stop you pulling your hair out.
